January - March 2026

The go-to reference and practice guide for using motivational interviewing (MI) to enhance conversations about nutrition and fitness

Easy to incorporate into everyday interactions, MI offers simple yet powerful tools for helping clients work through ambivalence, break free of diets and quick-fix solutions, and overcome barriers to change.

Some days, being a dietitian just feels…meh.

Day after day, you show up for your clients and do the work, but you're tired of the same-old tasks, the same-old struggles - heck, it feels like you’re repeating the same-old conversation for the seventeenth time this week!

You're craving connection with dietitians who get it - the ones who keep showing up, doing their best, and cheering clients on, even when it feels like they’re constantly spinning their wheels.

You're looking for fresh ideas, because when the same clients keep circling back to the same struggles, you know it’s time to find some different tools.

Enter: The Dietitian Book Club

A space that feels less like an inservice and more like chatting over coffee with your work pals

New books. New connections. New perspectives.

Explore what it takes to help people change - the fresh starts, the messy middles, the tools that help your clients make it to the finish line.

This isn't another task or obligation. It’s a chance to reconnect - with your purpose, your peers, and learning that leads to “Aha!” moments with clients.

Because sometimes, a good book and a great conversation are just what you need to fuel that spark that guides a client to their next win.

"I've always wanted to join a book club and was so excited you started one just for RDs!"

Hi, I’m Laura, your Dietitian Book Club host.

Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee (or tea - take your pick 😉) and make yourself at home.

I’ve been a dietitian for 20+ years and before that I taught junior high English. That explains a lot about my love of reading and my curiosity about why people do the things they do, from throwing spitballs in English class to polishing off a whole bag of potato chips on the couch.

Over the years, I’ve read countless books on behavior change, motivation, and psychology - and if we’ve met IRL then, yes, I’ve probably talked your ear off about the stories and strategies I’ve learned.

The Dietitian Book Club is an interactive space where these ideas come to life and we put them to work with our clients. You’ll explore fresh concepts, swap stories with peers, and leave energized with strategies you’ll actually want to use - promise!

Grab your book and let’s dive in!

"Thank you for forming this book club so I could FINALLY finish this book."
